  • RUT_4:18 Now these [are] the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,

  • RUT_4:19 And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,

  • RUT_4:20 And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,

  • RUT_4:21 And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,

  • RUT_4:22 And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

  • 1SA_1:1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name [was] Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite:

  • 1SA_1:2 And he had two wives; the name of the one [was] Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children.

  • 1SA_1:3 And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, [were] there.

  • 1SA_1:4 And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions:

  • 1SA_1:5 But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb.

  • 1SA_1:6 And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb.

  • 1SA_1:7 And [as] he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat.

  • 1SA_1:8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? [am] not I better to thee than ten sons?

  • 1SA_1:9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.

  • 1SA_1:10 And she [was] in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.

  • 1SA_1:11 And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.

  • 1SA_1:12 And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth.

  • 1SA_1:13 Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken.

  • 1SA_1:14 And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee.

  • 1SA_1:15 And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I [am] a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD.

  • 1SA_1:16 Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto.

  • 1SA_1:17 Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant [thee] thy petition that thou hast asked of him.

  • 1SA_1:18 And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more [sad].

  • 1SA_1:19 And they rose up in the morning early, and worshipped before the LORD, and returned, and came to their house to Ramah: and Elkanah knew Hannah his wife; and the LORD remembered her.

  • 1SA_1:20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his name Samuel, [saying], Because I have asked him of the LORD.

  • 1SA_1:21 And the man Elkanah, and all his house, went up to offer unto the LORD the yearly sacrifice, and his vow.

  • 1SA_1:22 But Hannah went not up; for she said unto her husband, [I will not go up] until the child be weaned, and [then] I will bring him, that he may appear before the LORD, and there abide for ever.

  • 1SA_1:23 And Elkanah her husband said unto her, Do what seemeth thee good; tarry until thou have weaned him; only the LORD establish his word. So the woman abode, and gave her son suck until she weaned him.

  • 1SA_1:24 And when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with three bullocks, and one ephah of flour, and a bottle of wine, and brought him unto the house of the LORD in Shiloh: and the child [was] young.

  • 1SA_1:25 And they slew a bullock, and brought the child to Eli.

  • 1SA_1:26 And she said, Oh my lord, [as] thy soul liveth, my lord, I [am] the woman that stood by thee here, praying unto the LORD.

  • 1SA_1:27 For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:

  • 1SA_1:28 Therefore also I have lent him to the LORD; as long as he liveth he shall be lent to the LORD. And he worshipped the LORD there.

  • 1SA_2:1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the LORD, mine horn is exalted in the LORD: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.

  • 1SA_2:2 [There is] none holy as the LORD: for [there is] none beside thee: neither [is there] any rock like our God.

  • 1SA_2:3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let [not] arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD [is] a God of knowledge, and by him actions are weighed.

  • 1SA_2:4 The bows of the mighty men [are] broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength.

  • 1SA_2:5 [They that were] full have hired out themselves for bread; and [they that were] hungry ceased: so that the barren hath born seven; and she that hath many children is waxed feeble.

  • 1SA_2:6 The LORD killeth, and maketh alive: he bringeth down to the grave, and bringeth up.

  • 1SA_2:7 The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.

  • 1SA_2:8 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, [and] lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set [them] among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth [are] the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them.

  • 1SA_2:9 He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail.

  • 1SA_2:10 The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the LORD shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.

  • 1SA_2:11 And Elkanah went to Ramah to his house. And the child did minister unto the LORD before Eli the priest.

  • 1SA_2:12 Now the sons of Eli [were] sons of Belial; they knew not the LORD.

  • 1SA_2:13 And the priests' custom with the people [was, that], when any man offered sacrifice, the priest's servant came, while the flesh was in seething, with a fleshhook of three teeth in his hand;

  • 1SA_2:14 And he struck [it] into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fleshhook brought up the priest took for himself. So they did in Shiloh, unto all the Israelites that came thither.

  • 1SA_2:15 Also before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have sodden flesh of thee, but raw.

  • 1SA_2:16 And [if] any man said unto him, Let them not fail to burn the fat presently, and [then] take [as much] as thy soul desireth; then he would answer him, [Nay]; but thou shalt give [it me] now: and if not, I will take [it] by force.

  • 1SA_2:17 Wherefore the sin of the young men was very great before the LORD: for men abhorred the offering of the LORD.

  • 1SA_2:18 But Samuel ministered before the LORD, [being] a child, girded with a linen ephod.

  • 1SA_2:19 Moreover his mother made him a little coat, and brought [it] to him from year to year, when she came up with her husband to offer the yearly sacrifice.

  • 1SA_2:20 And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, The LORD give thee seed of this woman for the loan which is lent to the LORD. And they went unto their own home.

  • 1SA_2:21 And the LORD visited Hannah, so that she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before the LORD.

  • 1SA_2:22 Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled [at] the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.

  • 1SA_2:23 And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.

  • 1SA_2:24 Nay, my sons; for [it is] no good report that I hear: ye make the LORD's people to transgress.

  • 1SA_2:25 If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the LORD, who shall entreat for him? Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the LORD would slay them.

  • 1SA_2:26 And the child Samuel grew on, and was in favour both with the LORD, and also with men.

  • LUK_22:69 Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.

  • LUK_22:70 Then said they all, Art thou then the Son of God? And he said unto them, Ye say that I am.

  • LUK_22:71 And they said, What need we any further witness? for we ourselves have heard of his own mouth.

  • LUK_23:1 And the whole multitude of them arose, and led him unto Pilate.

  • LUK_23:2 And they began to accuse him, saying, We found this [fellow] perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Caesar, saying that he himself is Christ a King.

  • LUK_23:3 And Pilate asked him, saying, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answered him and said, Thou sayest [it].

  • LUK_23:4 Then said Pilate to the chief priests and [to] the people, I find no fault in this man.

  • LUK_23:5 And they were the more fierce, saying, He stirreth up the people, teaching throughout all Jewry, beginning from Galilee to this place.

  • LUK_23:6 When Pilate heard of Galilee, he asked whether the man were a Galilaean.

  • LUK_23:7 And as soon as he knew that he belonged unto Herod's jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who himself also was at Jerusalem at that time.

  • LUK_23:8 And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long [season], because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

  • LUK_23:9 Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

  • LUK_23:10 And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

  • LUK_23:11 And Herod with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked [him], and arrayed him in a gorgeous robe, and sent him again to Pilate.

  • LUK_23:12 And the same day Pilate and Herod were made friends together: for before they were at enmity between themselves.

  • LUK_23:13 And Pilate, when he had called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people,

  • LUK_23:14 Said unto them, Ye have brought this man unto me, as one that perverteth the people: and, behold, I, having examined [him] before you, have found no fault in this man touching those things whereof ye accuse him:

  • LUK_23:15 No, nor yet Herod: for I sent you to him; and, lo, nothing worthy of death is done unto him.

  • LUK_23:16 I will therefore chastise him, and release [him].

  • LUK_23:17 (For of necessity he must release one unto them at the feast.)

  • LUK_23:18 And they cried out all at once, saying, Away with this [man], and release unto us Barabbas:

  • LUK_23:19 (Who for a certain sedition made in the city, and for murder, was cast into prison.)

  • LUK_23:20 Pilate therefore, willing to release Jesus, spake again to them.

  • LUK_23:21 But they cried, saying, Crucify [him], crucify him.

  • LUK_23:22 And he said unto them the third time, Why, what evil hath he done? I have found no cause of death in him: I will therefore chastise him, and let [him] go.

  • PSA_56:11 In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.

  • PSA_56:12 Thy vows [are] upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.

  • PSA_56:13 For thou hast delivered my soul from death: [wilt] not [thou deliver] my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

  • PSA_57:1 To the chief Musician, Altaschith, Michtam of David, when he fled from Saul in the cave. Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until [these] calamities be overpast.

  • PSA_57:2 I will cry unto God most high; unto God that performeth [all things] for me.

  • PRO_12:18 There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise [is] health.

  • PRO_12:19 The lip of truth shall be established for ever: but a lying tongue [is] but for a moment.

  • MARJ_4:32 But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.

  • MARJ_4:35 Let us pass over unto the other side.

  • MARJ_4:39 Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

  • MARJ_4:40 Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?

  • MARJ_5:8 Come out of the man, [thou] unclean spirit.

  • MARJ_5:9 What [is] thy name?

  • MARJ_5:19 Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

  • MARJ_5:30 Who touched my clothes?
