Daily Devotional 1 Year Bible
  • JER_36:2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

  • JER_36:3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

  • JER_36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

  • JER_36:5 And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I [am] shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:

  • JER_36:6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD'S house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

  • JER_36:7 It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great [is] the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.

  • JER_36:8 And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD'S house.

  • JER_36:9 And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, [that] they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

  • JER_36:10 Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD'S house, in the ears of all the people.

  • JER_36:11 When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,

  • JER_36:12 Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, [even] Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

  • JER_36:13 Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

  • JER_36:14 Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

  • JER_36:15 And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read [it] in their ears.

  • JER_36:16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

  • JER_36:17 And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?

  • JER_36:18 Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote [them] with ink in the book.

  • JER_36:19 Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

  • JER_36:20 And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

  • JER_36:21 So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

  • JER_36:22 Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and [there was a fire] on the hearth burning before him.

  • JER_36:23 And it came to pass, [that] when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast [it] into the fire that [was] on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that [was] on the hearth.

  • JER_36:24 Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, [neither] the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

  • JER_36:25 Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

  • JER_36:26 But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.

  • JER_36:27 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

  • JER_36:28 Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

  • JER_36:29 And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

  • JER_36:30 Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

  • JER_36:31 And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

  • JER_36:32 Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

  • JER_37:1 And king Zedekiah the son of Josiah reigned instead of Coniah the son of Jehoiakim, whom Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon made king in the land of Judah.

  • JER_37:2 But neither he, nor his servants, nor the people of the land, did hearken unto the words of the LORD, which he spake by the prophet Jeremiah.

  • JER_37:3 And Zedekiah the king sent Jehucal the son of Shelemiah and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest to the prophet Jeremiah, saying, Pray now unto the LORD our God for us.

  • JER_37:4 Now Jeremiah came in and went out among the people: for they had not put him into prison.

  • JER_37:5 Then Pharaoh's army was come forth out of Egypt: and when the Chaldeans that besieged Jerusalem heard tidings of them, they departed from Jerusalem.

  • JER_37:6 Then came the word of the LORD unto the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

  • JER_37:7 Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Thus shall ye say to the king of Judah, that sent you unto me to inquire of me; Behold, Pharaoh's army, which is come forth to help you, shall return to Egypt into their own land.

  • JER_37:8 And the Chaldeans shall come again, and fight against this city, and take it, and burn it with fire.

  • JER_37:9 Thus saith the LORD; Deceive not yourselves, saying, The Chaldeans shall surely depart from us: for they shall not depart.

  • JER_37:10 For though ye had smitten the whole army of the Chaldeans that fight against you, and there remained [but] wounded men among them, [yet] should they rise up every man in his tent, and burn this city with fire.

  • JER_37:11 And it came to pass, that when the army of the Chaldeans was broken up from Jerusalem for fear of Pharaoh's army,

  • JER_37:12 Then Jeremiah went forth out of Jerusalem to go into the land of Benjamin, to separate himself thence in the midst of the people.

  • JER_37:13 And when he was in the gate of Benjamin, a captain of the ward [was] there, whose name [was] Irijah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Hananiah; and he took Jeremiah the prophet, saying, Thou fallest away to the Chaldeans.

  • JER_37:14 Then said Jeremiah, [It is] false; I fall not away to the Chaldeans. But he hearkened not to him: so Irijah took Jeremiah, and brought him to the princes.

  • JER_37:15 Wherefore the princes were wroth with Jeremiah, and smote him, and put him in prison in the house of Jonathan the scribe: for they had made that the prison.

  • JER_37:16 When Jeremiah was entered into the dungeon, and into the cabins, and Jeremiah had remained there many days;

  • 1TH_4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

  • 1TH_4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

  • 1TH_4:17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

  • 1TH_4:18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

  • 1TH_5:1 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you.

  • 1TH_5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.

  • 1TH_5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

  • 1TH_5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief.

  • 1TH_5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness.

  • 1TH_5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as [do] others; but let us watch and be sober.

  • 1TH_5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.

  • 1TH_5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

  • 1TH_5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

  • 1TH_5:10 Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

  • 1TH_5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

  • 1TH_5:12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

  • 1TH_5:13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. [And] be at peace among yourselves.

  • 1TH_5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men].

  • 1TH_5:15 See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].

  • 1TH_5:16 Rejoice evermore.

  • 1TH_5:17 Pray without ceasing.

  • 1TH_5:18 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

  • 1TH_5:19 Quench not the Spirit.

  • 1TH_5:20 Despise not prophesyings.

  • 1TH_5:21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.

  • 1TH_5:22 Abstain from all appearance of evil.

  • 1TH_5:23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and [I pray God] your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • 1TH_5:24 Faithful [is] he that calleth you, who also will do [it].

  • 1TH_5:25 Brethren, pray for us.

  • 1TH_5:26 Greet all the brethren with an holy kiss.

  • 1TH_5:27 I charge you by the Lord that this epistle be read unto all the holy brethren.

  • 1TH_5:28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen.

  • PSA_119:34 Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with [my] whole heart.

  • PSA_119:35 Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.

  • PSA_119:36 Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.

  • PSA_119:37 Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; [and] quicken thou me in thy way.

  • PSA_119:38 Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who [is devoted] to thy fear.

  • PSA_119:39 Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments [are] good.

  • PSA_119:40 Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.

  • PSA_119:41 VAU. Let thy mercies come also unto me, O LORD, [even] thy salvation, according to thy word.

  • PRO_26:11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, [so] a fool returneth to his folly.

  • PRO_26:12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? [there is] more hope of a fool than of him.

  • PRO_26:13 The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion in the way; a lion [is] in the streets.

  • JOHJ_7:37 If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

  • JOHJ_7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

  • JOHJ_8:7 He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.

  • JOHJ_8:10 Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?

  • JOHJ_8:11 Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.

  • JOHJ_8:12 I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

  • JOHJ_8:14 Though I bear record of myself, [yet] my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.
