  • DAN_5:13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. [And] the king spake and said unto Daniel, [Art] thou that Daniel, which [art] of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my father brought out of Jewry?

  • DAN_5:14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the gods [is] in thee, and [that] light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee.

  • DAN_5:15 And now the wise [men], the astrologers, have been brought in before me, that they should read this writing, and make known unto me the interpretation thereof: but they could not show the interpretation of the thing:

  • DAN_5:16 And I have heard of thee, that thou canst make interpretations, and dissolve doubts: now if thou canst read the writing, and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with scarlet, and [have] a chain of gold about thy neck, and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom.

  • DAN_5:17 Then Daniel answered and said before the king, Let thy gifts be to thyself, and give thy rewards to another; yet I will read the writing unto the king, and make known to him the interpretation.

  • DAN_5:18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy father a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour:

  • DAN_5:19 And for the majesty that he gave him, all people, nations, and languages, trembled and feared before him: whom he would he slew; and whom he would he kept alive; and whom he would he set up; and whom he would he put down.

  • DAN_5:20 But when his heart was lifted up, and his mind hardened in pride, he was deposed from his kingly throne, and they took his glory from him:

  • DAN_5:21 And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling [was] with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; till he knew that the most high God ruled in the kingdom of men, and [that] he appointeth over it whomsoever he will.

  • DAN_5:22 And thou his son, O Belshazzar, hast not humbled thine heart, though thou knewest all this;

  • DAN_5:23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the gods of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath [is], and whose [are] all thy ways, hast thou not glorified:

  • DAN_5:24 Then was the part of the hand sent from him; and this writing was written.

  • DAN_5:25 And this [is] the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.

  • DAN_5:26 This [is] the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it.

  • DAN_5:27 TEKEL; Thou art weighed in the balances, and art found wanting.

  • DAN_5:28 PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians.

  • DAN_5:29 Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and [put] a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom.

  • DAN_5:30 In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain.

  • DAN_5:31 And Darius the Median took the kingdom, [being] about threescore and two years old.

  • DAN_6:1 It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom an hundred and twenty princes, which should be over the whole kingdom;

  • DAN_6:2 And over these three presidents; of whom Daniel [was] first: that the princes might give accounts unto them, and the king should have no damage.

  • DAN_6:3 Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit [was] in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm.

  • DAN_6:4 Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he [was] faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him.

  • DAN_6:5 Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find [it] against him concerning the law of his God.

  • DAN_6:6 Then these presidents and princes assembled together to the king, and said thus unto him, King Darius, live for ever.

  • DAN_6:7 All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.

  • DAN_6:8 Now, O king, establish the decree, and sign the writing, that it be not changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

  • DAN_6:9 Wherefore king Darius signed the writing and the decree.

  • DAN_6:10 Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.

  • DAN_6:11 Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.

  • DAN_6:12 Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask [a petition] of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing [is] true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.

  • DAN_6:13 Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which [is] of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.

  • DAN_6:14 Then the king, when he heard [these] words, was sore displeased with himself, and set [his] heart on Daniel to deliver him: and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

  • DAN_6:15 Then these men assembled unto the king, and said unto the king, Know, O king, that the law of the Medes and Persians [is], That no decree nor statute which the king establisheth may be changed.

  • DAN_6:16 Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast [him] into the den of lions. [Now] the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.

  • DAN_6:17 And a stone was brought, and laid upon the mouth of the den; and the king sealed it with his own signet, and with the signet of his lords; that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel.

  • DAN_6:18 Then the king went to his palace, and passed the night fasting: neither were instruments of music brought before him: and his sleep went from him.

  • DAN_6:19 Then the king arose very early in the morning, and went in haste unto the den of lions.

  • DAN_6:20 And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: [and] the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions?

  • DAN_6:21 Then said Daniel unto the king, O king, live for ever.

  • DAN_6:22 My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.

  • DAN_6:23 Then was the king exceeding glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no manner of hurt was found upon him, because he believed in his God.

  • DAN_6:24 And the king commanded, and they brought those men which had accused Daniel, and they cast [them] into the den of lions, them, their children, and their wives; and the lions had the mastery of them, and brake all their bones in pieces or ever they came at the bottom of the den.

  • DAN_6:25 Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you.

  • DAN_6:26 I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he [is] the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom [that] which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion [shall be even] unto the end.

  • DAN_6:27 He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions.

  • 1JO_4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

  • 1JO_4:17 Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

  • 1JO_4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

  • 1JO_4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.

  • 1JO_4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?

  • 1JO_4:21 And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.

  • 1JO_5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

  • 1JO_5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments.

  • 1JO_5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

  • 1JO_5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith.

  • 1JO_5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

  • 1JO_5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, [even] Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.

  • 1JO_5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

  • 1JO_5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

  • 1JO_5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

  • 1JO_5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.

  • 1JO_5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.

  • 1JO_5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; [and] he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

  • 1JO_5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

  • 1JO_5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

  • 1JO_5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

  • 1JO_5:16 If any man see his brother sin a sin [which is] not unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

  • 1JO_5:17 All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

  • PSA_139:4 For [there is] not a word in my tongue, [but], lo, O LORD, thou knowest it altogether.

  • PSA_139:5 Thou hast beset me behind and before, and laid thine hand upon me.

  • PSA_139:6 [Such] knowledge [is] too wonderful for me; it is high, I cannot [attain] unto it.

  • PSA_139:7 Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?

  • PSA_139:8 If I ascend up into heaven, thou [art] there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou [art there].

  • PSA_139:9 [If] I take the wings of the morning, [and] dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;

  • PSA_139:10 Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.

  • PRO_29:25 The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe.

  • PRO_29:26 Many seek the ruler's favour; but [every] man's judgment [cometh] from the LORD.

  • PRO_29:27 An unjust man [is] an abomination to the just: and [he that is] upright in the way [is] abomination to the wicked.

  • JOHJ_17:20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;

  • JOHJ_17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, [art] in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

  • JOHJ_17:22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one:

  • JOHJ_17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.

  • JOHJ_17:24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
