Daily Devotional 1 Year Bible ISA_40:10 Behold, the Lord GOD will come with strong [hand], and his arm shall rule for him: behold, his reward [is] with him, and his work before him. ISA_40:11 He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry [them] in his bosom, [and] shall gently lead those that are with young. ISA_40:12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? ISA_40:13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or [being] his counsellor hath taught him? ISA_40:14 With whom took he counsel, and [who] instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and showed to him the way of understanding? ISA_40:15 Behold, the nations [are] as a drop of a bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little thing. ISA_40:16 And Lebanon [is] not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for a burnt offering. ISA_40:17 All nations before him [are] as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity. ISA_40:18 To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto him? ISA_40:19 The workman melteth a graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. ISA_40:20 He that [is] so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth a tree [that] will not rot; he seeketh unto him a cunning workman to prepare a graven image, [that] shall not be moved. ISA_40:21 Have ye not known? have ye not heard? hath it not been told you from the beginning? have ye not understood from the foundations of the earth? ISA_40:22 [It is] he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof [are] as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in: ISA_40:23 That bringeth the princes to nothing; he maketh the judges of the earth as vanity. ISA_40:24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown: yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as stubble. ISA_40:25 To whom then will ye liken me, or shall I be equal? saith the Holy One. ISA_40:26 Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these [things], that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that [he is] strong in power; not one faileth. ISA_40:27 Why sayest thou, O Jacob, and speakest, O Israel, My way is hid from the LORD, and my judgment is passed over from my God? ISA_40:28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, [that] the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? [there is] no searching of his understanding. ISA_40:29 He giveth power to the faint; and to [them that have] no might he increaseth strength. ISA_40:30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: ISA_40:31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint. ISA_41:1 Keep silence before me, O islands; and let the people renew [their] strength: let them come near; then let them speak: let us come near together to judgment. ISA_41:2 Who raised up the righteous [man] from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made [him] rule over kings? he gave [them] as the dust to his sword, [and] as driven stubble to his bow. ISA_41:3 He pursued them, [and] passed safely; [even] by the way [that] he had not gone with his feet. ISA_41:4 Who hath wrought and done [it], calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD, the first, and with the last; I [am] he. ISA_41:5 The isles saw [it], and feared; the ends of the earth were afraid, drew near, and came. ISA_41:6 They helped every one his neighbour; and [every one] said to his brother, Be of good courage. ISA_41:7 So the carpenter encouraged the goldsmith, [and] he that smootheth [with] the hammer him that smote the anvil, saying, It [is] ready for the soldering: and he fastened it with nails, [that] it should not be moved. ISA_41:8 But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the seed of Abraham my friend. ISA_41:9 [Thou] whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called thee from the chief men thereof, and said unto thee, Thou [art] my servant; I have chosen thee, and not cast thee away. ISA_41:10 Fear thou not; for I [am] with thee: be not dismayed; for I [am] thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. ISA_41:11 Behold, all they that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish. ISA_41:12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, [even] them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought. ISA_41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. ISA_41:14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, [and] ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the LORD, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. ISA_41:15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat [them] small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. ISA_41:16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the LORD, [and] shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel. ISA_41:17 [When] the poor and needy seek water, and [there is] none, [and] their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. ISA_41:18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. ISA_41:19 I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, [and] the pine, and the box tree together: ISA_41:20 That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it. ISA_41:21 Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong [reasons], saith the King of Jacob. ISA_41:22 Let them bring [them] forth, and show us what shall happen: let them show the former things, what they [be], that we may consider them, and know the latter end of them; or declare us things for to come. ISA_41:23 Show the things that are to come hereafter, that we may know that ye [are] gods: yea, do good, or do evil, that we may be dismayed, and behold [it] together. ISA_41:24 Behold, ye [are] of nothing, and your work of nought: an abomination [is he that] chooseth you. ISA_41:25 I have raised up [one] from the north, and he shall come: from the rising of the sun shall he call upon my name: and he shall come upon princes as [upon] mortar, and as the potter treadeth clay. ISA_41:26 Who hath declared from the beginning, that we may know? and beforetime, that we may say, [He is] righteous? yea, [there is] none that showeth, yea, [there is] none that declareth, yea, [there is] none that heareth your words. ISA_41:27 The first [shall say] to Zion, Behold, behold them: and I will give to Jerusalem one that bringeth good tidings. ISA_41:28 For I beheld, and [there was] no man; even among them, and [there was] no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer a word. ISA_41:29 Behold, they [are] all vanity; their works [are] nothing: their molten images [are] wind and confusion. ISA_42:1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, [in whom] my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles. ISA_42:2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street. ISA_42:3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 2CO_8:11 Now therefore perform the doing [of it]; that as [there was] a readiness to will, so [there may be] a performance also out of that which ye have. 2CO_8:12 For if there be first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to that a man hath, [and] not according to that he hath not. 2CO_8:13 For [I mean] not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: 2CO_8:14 But by an equality, [that] now at this time your abundance [may be a supply] for their want, that their abundance also may be [a supply] for your want: that there may be equality: 2CO_8:15 As it is written, He that [had gathered] much had nothing over; and he that [had gathered] little had no lack. 2CO_8:16 But thanks [be] to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you. 2CO_8:17 For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you. 2CO_8:18 And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise [is] in the gospel throughout all the churches; 2CO_8:19 And not [that] only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and [declaration of] your ready mind: 2CO_8:20 Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us: 2CO_8:21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men. 2CO_8:22 And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which [I have] in you. 2CO_8:23 Whether [any do enquire] of Titus, [he is] my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren [be enquired of, they are] the messengers of the churches, [and] the glory of Christ. 2CO_8:24 Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf. 2CO_9:1 For as touching the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you: 2CO_9:2 For I know the forwardness of your mind, for which I boast of you to them of Macedonia, that Achaia was ready a year ago; and your zeal hath provoked very many. 2CO_9:3 Yet have I sent the brethren, lest our boasting of you should be in vain in this behalf; that, as I said, ye may be ready: 2CO_9:4 Lest haply if they of Macedonia come with me, and find you unprepared, we (that we say not, ye) should be ashamed in this same confident boasting. 2CO_9:5 Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up before hand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as [a matter of] bounty, and not as [of] covetousness. PSA_107:25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof. PSA_107:26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble. PSA_107:27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end. PSA_107:28 Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses. PSA_107:29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still. PSA_107:30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven. PSA_107:31 Oh that [men] would praise the LORD [for] his goodness, and [for] his wonderful works to the children of men! PRO_24:5 A wise man [is] strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength. PRO_24:6 For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors [there is] safety. PRO_24:7 Wisdom [is] too high for a fool: he openeth not his mouth in the gate. LUKJ_22:26 But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve. LUKJ_22:27 For whether [is] greater, he that sitteth at meat, or he that serveth? [is] not he that sitteth at meat? but I am among you as he that serveth. LUKJ_22:28 Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. LUKJ_22:29 And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me; LUKJ_22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. LUKJ_22:31 Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired [to have] you, that he may sift [you] as wheat:
