Daily Devotional 1 Year Bible JOB_14:16 For now thou numberest my steps: dost thou not watch over my sin? JOB_14:17 My transgression [is] sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity. JOB_14:18 And surely the mountain falling cometh to nought, and the rock is removed out of his place. JOB_14:19 The waters wear the stones: thou washest away the things which grow [out] of the dust of the earth; and thou destroyest the hope of man. JOB_14:20 Thou prevailest for ever against him, and he passeth: thou changest his countenance, and sendest him away. JOB_14:21 His sons come to honour, and he knoweth [it] not; and they are brought low, but he perceiveth [it] not of them. JOB_14:22 But his flesh upon him shall have pain, and his soul within him shall mourn. JOB_15:1 Then answered Eliphaz the Temanite, and said, JOB_15:2 Should a wise man utter vain knowledge, and fill his belly with the east wind? JOB_15:3 Should he reason with unprofitable talk? or with speeches wherewith he can do no good? JOB_15:4 Yea, thou castest off fear, and restrainest prayer before God. JOB_15:5 For thy mouth uttereth thine iniquity, and thou choosest the tongue of the crafty. JOB_15:6 Thine own mouth condemneth thee, and not I: yea, thine own lips testify against thee. JOB_15:7 [Art] thou the first man [that] was born? or wast thou made before the hills? JOB_15:8 Hast thou heard the secret of God? and dost thou restrain wisdom to thyself? JOB_15:9 What knowest thou, that we know not? [what] understandest thou, which [is] not in us? JOB_15:10 With us [are] both the grayheaded and very aged men, much elder than thy father. JOB_15:11 [Are] the consolations of God small with thee? is there any secret thing with thee? JOB_15:12 Why doth thine heart carry thee away? and what do thy eyes wink at, JOB_15:13 That thou turnest thy spirit against God, and lettest [such] words go out of thy mouth? JOB_15:14 What [is] man, that he should be clean? and [he which is] born of a woman, that he should be righteous? JOB_15:15 Behold, he putteth no trust in his saints; yea, the heavens are not clean in his sight. JOB_15:16 How much more abominable and filthy [is] man, which drinketh iniquity like water? JOB_15:17 I will show thee, hear me; and that [which] I have seen I will declare; JOB_15:18 Which wise men have told from their fathers, and have not hid [it]: JOB_15:19 Unto whom alone the earth was given, and no stranger passed among them. JOB_15:20 The wicked man travaileth with pain all [his] days, and the number of years is hidden to the oppressor. JOB_15:21 A dreadful sound [is] in his ears: in prosperity the destroyer shall come upon him. JOB_15:22 He believeth not that he shall return out of darkness, and he is waited for of the sword. JOB_15:23 He wandereth abroad for bread, [saying], Where [is it]? he knoweth that the day of darkness is ready at his hand. JOB_15:24 Trouble and anguish shall make him afraid; they shall prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle. JOB_15:25 For he stretcheth out his hand against God, and strengtheneth himself against the Almighty. JOB_15:26 He runneth upon him, [even] on [his] neck, upon the thick bosses of his bucklers: JOB_15:27 Because he covereth his face with his fatness, and maketh collops of fat on [his] flanks. JOB_15:28 And he dwelleth in desolate cities, [and] in houses which no man inhabiteth, which are ready to become heaps. JOB_15:29 He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall he prolong the perfection thereof upon the earth. JOB_15:30 He shall not depart out of darkness; the flame shall dry up his branches, and by the breath of his mouth shall he go away. JOB_15:31 Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity: for vanity shall be his recompense. JOB_15:32 It shall be accomplished before his time, and his branch shall not be green. JOB_15:33 He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall cast off his flower as the olive. JOB_15:34 For the congregation of hypocrites [shall be] desolate, and fire shall consume the tabernacles of bribery. JOB_15:35 They conceive mischief, and bring forth vanity, and their belly prepareth deceit. JOB_16:1 Then Job answered and said, JOB_16:2 I have heard many such things: miserable comforters [are] ye all. JOB_16:3 Shall vain words have an end? or what emboldeneth thee that thou answerest? JOB_16:4 I also could speak as ye [do]: if your soul were in my soul's stead, I could heap up words against you, and shake mine head at you. JOB_16:5 [But] I would strengthen you with my mouth, and the moving of my lips should asswage [your grief]. JOB_16:6 Though I speak, my grief is not asswaged: and [though] I forbear, what am I eased? JOB_16:7 But now he hath made me weary: thou hast made desolate all my company. JOB_16:8 And thou hast filled me with wrinkles, [which] is a witness [against me]: and my leanness rising up in me beareth witness to my face. JOB_16:9 He teareth [me] in his wrath, who hateth me: he gnasheth upon me with his teeth; mine enemy sharpeneth his eyes upon me. JOB_16:10 They have gaped upon me with their mouth; they have smitten me upon the cheek reproachfully; they have gathered themselves together against me. JOB_16:11 God hath delivered me to the ungodly, and turned me over into the hands of the wicked. JOB_16:12 I was at ease, but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken [me] by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark. JOB_16:13 His archers compass me round about, he cleaveth my reins asunder, and doth not spare; he poureth out my gall upon the ground. JOB_16:14 He breaketh me with breach upon breach, he runneth upon me like a giant. JOB_16:15 I have sewed sackcloth upon my skin, and defiled my horn in the dust. JOB_16:16 My face is foul with weeping, and on my eyelids [is] the shadow of death; JOB_16:17 Not for [any] injustice in mine hands: also my prayer [is] pure. JOB_16:18 O earth, cover not thou my blood, and let my cry have no place. JOB_16:19 Also now, behold, my witness [is] in heaven, and my record [is] on high. ROM_14:22 Hast thou faith? have [it] to thyself before God. Happy [is] he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. ROM_14:23 And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because [he eateth] not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin. ROM_15:1 We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves. ROM_15:2 Let every one of us please [his] neighbour for [his] good to edification. ROM_15:3 For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. ROM_15:4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope. ROM_15:5 Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: ROM_15:6 That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. ROM_15:7 Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received us to the glory of God. ROM_15:8 Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises [made] unto the fathers: ROM_15:9 And that the Gentiles might glorify God for [his] mercy; as it is written, For this cause I will confess to thee among the Gentiles, and sing unto thy name. ROM_15:10 And again he saith, Rejoice, ye Gentiles, with his people. ROM_15:11 And again, Praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles; and laud him, all ye people. ROM_15:12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles trust. ROM_15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost. ROM_15:14 And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. ROM_15:15 Nevertheless, brethren, I have written the more boldly unto you in some sort, as putting you in mind, because of the grace that is given to me of God, ROM_15:16 That I should be the minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering up of the Gentiles might be acceptable, being sanctified by the Holy Ghost. ROM_15:17 I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God. ROM_15:18 For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed, ROM_15:19 Through mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God; so that from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. PSA_100:4 Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, [and] into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, [and] bless his name. PSA_100:5 For the LORD [is] good; his mercy [is] everlasting; and his truth [endureth] to all generations. PSA_101:1 A Psalm of David. I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing. PSA_101:2 I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. PSA_101:3 I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; [it] shall not cleave to me. PSA_101:4 A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked [person]. PRO_21:28 A false witness shall perish: but the man that heareth speaketh constantly. PRO_21:29 A wicked man hardeneth his face: but [as for] the upright, he directeth his way. PRO_21:30 [There is] no wisdom nor understanding nor counsel against the LORD. LUKJ_16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that [would come] from thence. LUKJ_16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: LUKJ_16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. LUKJ_16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. LUKJ_16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.
