Daily Devotional 1 Year Bible JER_20:1 Now Pashur the son of Immer the priest, who [was] also chief governor in the house of the LORD, heard that Jeremiah prophesied these things. JER_20:2 Then Pashur smote Jeremiah the prophet, and put him in the stocks that [were] in the high gate of Benjamin, which [was] by the house of the LORD. JER_20:3 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but Magormissabib. JER_20:4 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold [it]: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword. JER_20:5 Moreover I will deliver all the strength of this city, and all the labours thereof, and all the precious things thereof, and all the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to Babylon. JER_20:6 And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all thy friends, to whom thou hast prophesied lies. JER_20:7 O LORD, thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived: thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me. JER_20:8 For since I spake, I cried out, I cried violence and spoil; because the word of the LORD was made a reproach unto me, and a derision, daily. JER_20:9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But [his word] was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not [stay]. JER_20:10 For I heard the defaming of many, fear on every side. Report, [say they], and we will report it. All my familiars watched for my halting, [saying], Peradventure he will be enticed, and we shall prevail against him, and we shall take our revenge on him. JER_20:11 But the LORD [is] with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: [their] everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten. JER_20:12 But, O LORD of hosts, that triest the righteous, [and] seest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I opened my cause. JER_20:13 Sing unto the LORD, praise ye the LORD: for he hath delivered the soul of the poor from the hand of evildoers. JER_20:14 Cursed [be] the day wherein I was born: let not the day wherein my mother bare me be blessed. JER_20:15 Cursed [be] the man who brought tidings to my father, saying, A man child is born unto thee; making him very glad. JER_20:16 And let that man be as the cities which the LORD overthrew, and repented not: and let him hear the cry in the morning, and the shouting at noontide; JER_20:17 Because he slew me not from the womb; or that my mother might have been my grave, and her womb [to be] always great [with me]. JER_20:18 Wherefore came I forth out of the womb to see labour and sorrow, that my days should be consumed with shame? JER_21:1 The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when king Zedekiah sent unto him Pashur the son of Melchiah, and Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, saying, JER_21:2 Inquire, I pray thee, of the LORD for us; for Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon maketh war against us; if so be that the LORD will deal with us according to all his wondrous works, that he may go up from us. JER_21:3 Then said Jeremiah unto them, Thus shall ye say to Zedekiah: JER_21:4 Thus saith the LORD God of Israel; Behold, I will turn back the weapons of war that [are] in your hands, wherewith ye fight against the king of Babylon, and [against] the Chaldeans, which besiege you without the walls, and I will assemble them into the midst of this city. JER_21:5 And I myself will fight against you with an outstretched hand and with a strong arm, even in anger, and in fury, and in great wrath. JER_21:6 And I will smite the inhabitants of this city, both man and beast: they shall die of a great pestilence. JER_21:7 And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the sword, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the sword; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. JER_21:8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death. JER_21:9 He that abideth in this city shall die by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. JER_21:10 For I have set my face against this city for evil, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. JER_21:11 And touching the house of the king of Judah, [say], Hear ye the word of the LORD; JER_21:12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver [him that is] spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench [it], because of the evil of your doings. JER_21:13 Behold, I [am] against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, [and] rock of the plain, saith the LORD; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations? JER_21:14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the forest thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JER_22:1 Thus saith the LORD; Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak there this word, JER_22:2 And say, Hear the word of the LORD, O king of Judah, that sittest upon the throne of David, thou, and thy servants, and thy people that enter in by these gates: JER_22:3 Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the fatherless, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. JER_22:4 For if ye do this thing indeed, then shall there enter in by the gates of this house kings sitting upon the throne of David, riding in chariots and on horses, he, and his servants, and his people. JER_22:5 But if ye will not hear these words, I swear by myself, saith the LORD, that this house shall become a desolation. JER_22:6 For thus saith the LORD unto the king's house of Judah; Thou [art] Gilead unto me, [and] the head of Lebanon: [yet] surely I will make thee a wilderness, [and] cities [which] are not inhabited. JER_22:7 And I will prepare destroyers against thee, every one with his weapons: and they shall cut down thy choice cedars, and cast [them] into the fire. JER_22:8 And many nations shall pass by this city, and they shall say every man to his neighbour, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this great city? JER_22:9 Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other gods, and served them. JER_22:10 Weep ye not for the dead, neither bemoan him: [but] weep sore for him that goeth away: for he shall return no more, nor see his native country. JER_22:11 For thus saith the LORD touching Shallum the son of Josiah king of Judah, which reigned instead of Josiah his father, which went forth out of this place; He shall not return thither any more: JER_22:12 But he shall die in the place whither they have led him captive, and shall see this land no more. JER_22:13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; [that] useth his neighbour's service without wages, and giveth him not for his work; JER_22:14 That saith, I will build me a wide house and large chambers, and cutteth him out windows; and [it is] ceiled with cedar, and painted with vermilion. PHP_2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: PHP_2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth; PHP_2:11 And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father. PHP_2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. PHP_2:13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of [his] good pleasure. PHP_2:14 Do all things without murmurings and disputings: PHP_2:15 That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; PHP_2:16 Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain. PHP_2:17 Yea, and if I be offered upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I joy, and rejoice with you all. PHP_2:18 For the same cause also do ye joy, and rejoice with me. PHP_2:19 But I trust in the Lord Jesus to send Timotheus shortly unto you, that I also may be of good comfort, when I know your state. PHP_2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care for your state. PHP_2:21 For all seek their own, not the things which are Jesus Christ's. PHP_2:22 But ye know the proof of him, that, as a son with the father, he hath served with me in the gospel. PHP_2:23 Him therefore I hope to send presently, so soon as I shall see how it will go with me. PHP_2:24 But I trust in the Lord that I also myself shall come shortly. PHP_2:25 Yet I supposed it necessary to send to you Epaphroditus, my brother, and companion in labour, and fellowsoldier, but your messenger, and he that ministered to my wants. PHP_2:26 For he longed after you all, and was full of heaviness, because that ye had heard that he had been sick. PHP_2:27 For indeed he was sick nigh unto death: but God had mercy on him; and not on him only, but on me also, lest I should have sorrow upon sorrow. PHP_2:28 I sent him therefore the more carefully, that, when ye see him again, ye may rejoice, and that I may be the less sorrowful. PHP_2:29 Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness; and hold such in reputation: PHP_2:30 Because for the work of Christ he was nigh unto death, not regarding his life, to supply your lack of service toward me. PHP_3:1 Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed [is] not grievous, but for you [it is] safe. PHP_3:2 Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision. PHP_3:3 For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh. PHP_3:4 Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more: PSA_116:15 Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints. PSA_116:16 O LORD, truly I [am] thy servant; I [am] thy servant, [and] the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds. PSA_116:17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the LORD. PSA_116:18 I will pay my vows unto the LORD now in the presence of all his people, PSA_116:19 In the courts of the LORD's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the LORD. PSA_117:1 O Praise the LORD, all ye nations: praise him, all ye people. PSA_117:2 For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD [endureth] for ever. Praise ye the LORD. PRO_25:17 Withdraw thy foot from thy neighbour's house; lest he be weary of thee, and [so] hate thee. PRO_25:18 A man that beareth false witness against his neighbour [is] a maul, and a sword, and a sharp arrow. JOHJ_5:45 Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is [one] that accuseth you, [even] Moses, in whom ye trust. JOHJ_5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. JOHJ_5:47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words? JOHJ_6:5 Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat? JOHJ_6:10 Make the men sit down. JOHJ_6:12 Gather up the fragments that remain, that nothing be lost. JOHJ_6:20 It is I; be not afraid. JOHJ_6:26 Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
